My 5-ingredient Smoothie Bowl is not only tasty and super-simple to make, but also comes with a host of health benefits! Made from Yokos dairy-free coconut yoghurt, blended with apple and topped with banana and Kiwi fruit, it’s suitable for vegans and those with lactose-intolerance. Kiwi fruit, which is plentiful right now, is regarded as a super-food, and is rich in antioxidant Vitamin C that helps repairs cells. It’s also been suggested that Kiwis help you sleep, because they contain loads of Serotonin – but I enjoy whipping up this Smoothie Bowl first thing in the morning, as the burst of sweetness from each fruit really wakes me up – and the flavour of Yokos coconut yoghurt marries everything together so smoothly!
6- 8 tablespoons of plain coconut yoghurt
2 medium apples, peeled and chopped
1 Kiwi fruit, peeled and thickly sliced
1 medium banana, peeled and sliced
50g pomegranate arils (seeds)
Blend apples and yoghurt together to whatever consistency you prefer.
Pour into a bowl. Add sliced Kiwi and banana and sprinkle with
pomegranate arils. Enjoy!
