5 STEPS TO LIVING WELL

Living well has become a priority in my life. I believe passionately in self-love … and that means eating well, exercising, taking walks and enjoying my own company. We often get caught up in the business of life and forget about the wellness of ourselves. I have put together five tips for living well that will help you glow radiantly from the inside out.

 

  • EXERCISE AND MOVE YOUR BODY REGULARLY.

Aim to always be active. It’s not a good idea to keep still.  Look at what happens if you don’t start your car for weeks. It shuts down and parts could break in the process. Always find ways to move. Take the stairs instead of the lift. Take a walk in the park – nothing hectic at all, as long as you find ways to keep your beautiful body moving. Drink loads of water and stay hydrated while you do.

  • DON’T DWELL ON THE PAst – move on AND set NEW goalS!

The past is the past and that is where it should stay. Everything happens for a reason and I believe everything is part of life lessons. We learn and we move on. Start setting goals for yourself. Write down your short-term and long-term goals, and work on these to achieve them within a given time frame. It’s so rewarding when you see your dreams become reality. Let bygones be bygones and forget about that relationship that didn’t work or the job you didn’t get. Your future is bright with endless possibilities. Just make it happen.

  • DISCOVER YOUR PASSION (My PERSONAL Favourite).

Your passion will lead you right into your purpose. Use your spare time to do the things you love. This is a great way to start enjoying life. I love vintage collections, taking pretty photos and studying. What do you love? Make time to explore your passion. It’s a fun, exciting way to de-stress from the mundane routine of work and daily chores … and who knows, your passion might just turn into a full-time career! All you need to do is to START on that road and look forward to whatever the journey brings!

  • YOUR TIME IS VALUABLE – SURROUND YOURSELF WITH AWESOME PEOPLE.

Always remind yourself that you are amazing and you deserve to spend your precious time with people who genuinely believe that too. Trust your instinct, as your intuition will never lie. Avoid those individuals and social groups with negative energy and influence. Make a conscious decision to always surround yourself with those who walk the paths of righteousness, peace, joy and positivity.

  • NO MORE NEGATIVE SELF-TALK.

Certainly this is easier said than done at times, but it is possible. No more negative self- talk starts with self-love, which I said at the start of my five steps – so it all comes full-circle. Always remember that you are one of a kind, with your own set of skills that no one else in this world possesses. Embrace your uniqueness, never compare yourself with others … and don’t allow self-doubt to take over take your thoughts!
