Sassy and classy but not daunting at all. Sevruga is not anything like your local everyday restaurant. It is a place you go to when you really want to treat yourself with good food paired with good wine overlooking spectacular, breath taking views.
Victoria and Alfred Waterfront is one of the most visited tourist spots in South Africa. It is buzzing with tourists from all over the word during peak season and the weather is absolutely fabulous (November- March). Located right in front of the waterfront watching boats head out to sea on day trips around the peninsula or historical trips to Robben Island, you will find white umbrellas open on the restaurants terrace. Please be sure to make a booking as the terrace sure is the best seats in the house. Sipping on cocktails with Table Mountain as your back drop is bliss.
GRILLED KINGKLIP, pommes puree, tomato & onion salsa, lime beurre blanc is what keeps me going back for more. Our waiter Glen suggested I try this dish and now I am hooked. The fish is perfectly prepared, drizzled with a lemony sauce and topped with a tomato salsa. My friends love’s e Sushi (I’m not quite there yet!) and ordered the Tokyo Rainbow Roll and the White Plate which consists of Salmon Roses, California rolls firecracker rolls and Salmon and prawn nigir and that sure looks like a work of art. Guaranteed, Sevruga does not disappoint on flavour and presentation
Was there place for dessert?…..unfortunately not. We ended our dinner sipping on cocktails. I had my all time favourite- mojito. Love the flavour combinations…and it always taste like “MORE”. Cocktails are served with or without alcohol provided you advise the waiter whilst taking your order. Service is top nosh- Glen (our waiter), was brilliant. Very friendly and helpful and served us with class. Glen had good knowledge of the menu and was able to give an explanation on each dish as well as the specials on offer
There will defiantly be a next time and I sure will make space for dessert. Sevruga’s Crème Brûlée on there dessert page looks mouth watering delicious, it will not disappoint.
